Cops’ Kids Scholarship Application and Submission Form
Our scholarship program is simple – it’s not based on grade point averages, social activities, finances or letters of recommendation. Applications and awards are open to children of active-duty sworn law enforcement officers employed by either the Huntsville, Madison, Decatur or Athens, Alabama Police Departments or the Madison or Morgan County Sheriff’s Offices. Applicants must submit a written essay (maximum 2,000 words) expressing the applicant’s experience growing up as a child of a law enforcement officer.
Applications can be submitted starting January 1st and must be received by March 31st.
By submitting an application, you acknowledge that your essay will be evaluated by our selected judges and that your relationship to an active duty sworn officer will be confirmed.
Your privacy is important. We will not publish any personally identifiable information regarding award recipients and their family members without your permission.
The complete terms and conditions of the scholarship program can be read here.
If you have any questions, please contact Cops’ Kids, Inc. by email at [email protected]
You may submit your application by mail. To do so, please download the application form and fill out. Return the filled form with your essay. Mailed submissions must be postmarked no earlier than January 1 and no later than March 31 of the year submitted.
